Acme
Our story

We believe great teams deserve great tools

Acme started in 2021 when our founders — a team of engineers and designers who had spent a decade at fast-growing startups — got tired of watching brilliant people waste hours every week wrestling with disconnected, bloated tools.

We set out to build the workspace we always wished we had: fast, opinionated, and genuinely delightful to use. Three years later, more than 10,000 teams trust Acme to run their most important work. We're just getting started.

The team

Built by people who've been in your shoes

We're a small, opinionated team of builders who care deeply about craft, speed, and making your day a little better.

AK

Aisha Kamara

Co-founder & CEO

Previously led product at Linear and Figma. Obsessed with great UX and building teams that ship. Oxford CS grad.

JL

James Liu

Co-founder & CTO

Former staff engineer at Stripe. Built distributed systems at scale for 10+ years. Believes in boring technology and fast products.

MO

Maya Osei

Head of Design

Design lead from Notion and Loom. Thinks pixels are a craft. Champions accessibility, whitespace, and the right shade of grey.

RB

Rafael Braga

Head of Growth

Scaled two B2B SaaS companies from $0 to Series B. Data-driven but customer-first. Surfs badly, markets well.

What we believe

The values that drive every decision

These aren't wall decorations. They're the lens through which we make every product, hiring, and company decision.

Craft above all

Details aren't extras — they're the product.

We sweat the small stuff because we know it's actually the big stuff. Every pixel, every interaction, every API response is an opportunity to be better. We'd rather ship one perfect thing than five mediocre ones.

Radical transparency

We tell you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable.

No jargon, no spin. Our roadmap is public. Our pricing is clear. When things go wrong, we tell you first. We think transparency is a competitive advantage — and the right way to treat people.

Velocity as a virtue

Speed isn't recklessness — it's respect for your time.

We ship fast, learn fast, and fix fast. We believe that the best way to build great software is to get it in front of real people as quickly as possible — then listen carefully and iterate. Slow is a choice. We choose fast.
